445nm Blue Handheld Laser

Blue Handheld Laser 445nm (100mW - 1000mW)

Total Price: $0.00

* Required Fields

A revolutionary breakthrough in laser diode technology, this Handheld Series laser emits a dazzling 445nm "true blue" laser beam using InGaN semiconductors. 445nm blue lasers are commonly used in laser projection devices, optoelectronic data storage, and various medical applications. This laser is available in a respectable range of power outputs between 100mW - 1,000mW.

The Handheld Series is our newest laser model that offers power, stability, and safety in a compact laser that fits comfortably in your hands. The Handheld Series, although much smaller in size, shares many features with the Portable Series lasers including our patented focus adjustable optics, safety features, and its availability in a multitude of power outputs and wavelengths. The Handheld Series offers much higher power outputs compared to our laser pointers, however, due to size limitations, they are available in power ranges below those of the Portable Series lasers. Fitted with TO-38 laser diodes, the Handheld Series offers the ultimate balance between power and portability.

Features

The Handheld Series come with focus adjustable optics where you can adjust the laser's beam divergence with just a twist of a knob. By adjusting beam divergence, you'll have full control of the laser's spot size allowing the upmost convenience when tuning the laser for burning/heating, distance pointing, lighting, various experiments, and much more.

The TO-38 laser diode is encased in a sturdy aircraft grade aluminium shell that is hard anodized in black. In addition to its elegant and professional style, the outer case doubles as an effective heat-sink that helps dissipate heat buildup.

Safety Features

Lasers are not toys, they are very powerful devices that emit a strong coherent light. Therefore, all handheld lasers we offer are equipped with features that ensure your safety and making sure the laser cannot be operated when in the wrong hands. Safety features on our portable lasers include a mechanical aperture shutter, key switch, remote interlock connector, 3-5 second delayed output, LED emission indicator, and proper warning labels including the date and location of manufacture.

Guarantees

We ship worldwide and guarantee the laser to arrive at your doorstep or your money back. We guarantee the laser to be free from manufacturer defects and is as powerful as we advertise for up to one year after you receive it. If you are not satisfied with your order within thirty days, send it back to us for a full refund minus shipping costs.

Specifications

Series: Handheld Laser Series
Class: Laser Classification System
For safety reasons, lasers are classed from 1 to 4 based on wavelength and increasing power output. For example, class 1 lasers are safe under all conditions of normal use while class 4 lasers are the most dangerous and should be handled with absolute care.
3B / 4
FDA Accession #: FDA Accession Number
The FDA, Food & Drug Administration, is the government body that governs lasers and laser usage in the United States. An FDA Accession Number is issued to manufacturers that have followed the reporting procedures before the import of lasers into the U.S.A.
1330658-000
Power Output: Power Output
The power of a laser pointer is typically measured in mW or milli-Watts, or 1/1000 of a Watt. The higher the mW, the more powerful the laser pointer will be.
100mW - 1000mW
Color: Blue
Wavelength: Wavelength
Wavelength, measured in nanometers (nm), is the distance between one peak or crest of a wave of light. A majority of laser pointers have wavelengths in the visible spectrum between 400nm - 700nm. Each wavelength specifies a specific color in the visible spectrum. For example, our violet lasers have a wavelength of 405nm.
445nm
Dimension:Φ23.5mm * 180mm
Weight:134g
Transverse Mode: Transverse Mode
Our laser pointers usually operate in TE or TEM. Transverse Electric (TE) modes mean there are no electric field in the direction of propagation. Transverse Electromagnetic (TEM) modes mean there are neither electric nor magnetic field in the direction of propagation. In a laser with cylindrical symmetry, the transverse mode patterns are described by a combination of a Gaussian beam profile with a Laguerre polynomial. The modes are denoted TEMpl where p and l are integers labeling the radial and angular mode orders, respectively.
TE
Beam Divergence: Beam Divergence
The angle at which the laser beam increases in diameter with distance. For example, the higher the beam divergence, the faster the laser beam diameter will expand with increased distance. In pointing applications where range is an important factor, it's ideal to have low beam divergence.
< 3.0 mRad (Full Angle), Adjustable
Beam Diameter: Beam Diameter at Aperture
The measurement of laser beam diameter at aperture, or where the laser exits the laser pointer.
< 2.5 mm
NOHD: Nominal Ocular Hazard Distance
The distance away from a laser source where it is below Maximum Permissible Exposure (M.P.E.) on the cornea and on the skin. In layman terms, this is the distance away from the laser where your eyes are safe from immediate or long term damages. The measurements are calculated based on beam divergence and power output.
53 - 75 meters (based on model)
Eyewear O.D: Required Optical Density
A measurement of how much laser energy will pass through a filter, or laser safety glasses. OD is actually the base-10 logarithm of the attenuation factor by which the optical filter reduces beam power. For example, OD 1 will allow 1/10 of light to pass through or 10%. OD 2 will allow 1/100 of light to pass through or 1%. The higher the OD, the higher the protection.
4+
M2 Factor: M2 Quality Factor
M2, called the “M-square” factor, is the deviation of the laser beam from a theoretical Gaussian beam, or a perfectly circular laser beam. While a perfect M2 quality factor of 1 does not exist, most of our laser pointers come very close.
< 1.2
Spectral Linewidth: Spectral Linewidth
The width of a spectral line.
< 0.1 nm
Polarization Ratio: Polarization Ratio
Laser diodes are linearly polarized, that is, the light particles travel in one direction. The polarization ratio is the ratio between the parallel and vertical polarization vectors of the laser beam. The polarization ratio is measured when the laser is operating near its maximum output power ratings.
> 100:1
Operating Temp: Operating Temperature
The temperature range where your laser will operate optimally.
10-30°C
Storage Temp: Storage Temperature
The allowed temperature for storing the laser. Storing your laser at temperatures beyond the provided range will damage the laser components within.
-10-50°C
Power Consumption: Power Consumption
The amount of electricity consumed while the laser is turned on.
3.7V, 1A - 2A
Battery Type: Battery Type
The type of battery required to activate this laser. *Important: Batteries are not included as they are not allowed on airplanes due to safety reasons.
2 x 16340 Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery
(not included with purchase)
Battery Life: Battery Life
The expected usage time per set of new or fully charged batteries. This will vary based on the capacity of your batteries.
60-120 minutes
Cooling Mechanism: Cooling Mechanism
Mechanism used to keep the laser diode / module cool and from over-heating.
Heatsink
Mode: Mode
The rate at which laser energy is delivered. For example, in Continuous Wave (CW) mode, the laser is emitted at a stable or "continuous" rate. If a laser operates in Single Pulse mode, the laser blinks or "pulses" at a specific frequency.
Continuous Wave (CW)
Duty Cycle: Duty Cycle
The time interval a laser can be continuously operated without damaging it.
Continuous
Switch: Switch Type
The type of switch used to activate the laser pointer.
On/Off switch
Expected Lifetime: Expected Diode Lifetime
The expected usage lifetime of our laser diodes - the total lifetime of the laser while turned on.
> 5,000 hours
Warranty: Manufacturer Warranty
We warrant all lasers, laser pointers, and laser accessories sold through www.skytechlasers.com to be free from manufacturer defects starting from the date of receipt until the end of the warranty period. A link to our detailed warranty statement can be found in the footer on every page of this website.
